QA Tester Intern — AI, App & Payments

As a QA Tester Intern, you will learn to break software the right way by helping make sure Heva's AI, app, and payment flows actually work before a patient or clinic ever hits a bug. You'll join the Product/Platform team, mentored by the QA and product leads. This role is a great fit for someone who isn't afraid to poke at edge cases or say "this looks broken," even on something the team just shipped, who is here to learn fast without needing prior experience, who likes to experiment with new approaches to see what works, and who has a bias to action even when the playbook isn't fully finished. Over the course of the internship, you will learn QA fundamentals such as test cases, test plans, and severity versus priority, get familiar with bug-tracking tools like Jira, Linear, and Notion, understand how payment/checkout and conversational-AI systems actually work under the hood, and get a first look at test automation.

What you'll do

  • Follow test checklists across the AI chat/voice agent, patient pages, and payment flows, and flag anything that looks off.
  • Learn to write clear bug reports with step-by-step instructions to reproduce.
  • Re-test fixes and help run release checks.
  • Test flows in both English and Spanish.

What we're looking for

  • Detail-obsessed, patient, and curious.
  • Comfortable spending the day on a computer.
  • Bonus points:
  • Any coding exposure, curiosity about AI, or a habit of tinkering with / breaking apps for fun.
  • The basics (all Heva interns):
  • Currently studying or a recent grad, any field — attitude over degree or GPA.
  • No professional experience required — we teach the tools (Notion CRM, dialer, dashboards).
  • Fluent Spanish; conversational-to-fluent English.
  • School-friendly: part-time hours, flexible around class schedule.
  • Reliable internet and a quiet space for calls (remote / hybrid).

  • Bugs you catch before release.
  • Clarity of your bug reports.
  • How much more independent you get over the internship.
  • Screening signal:
  • Green flag: Notices the small inconsistency everyone else scrolled past.
  • Red flag: Rushes the checklist and marks everything "works fine."
